HI, I’M JANELLE!
I’m a wedding photographer based in Bend, Oregon, with a love for film photography, travel, and stories worth preserving. I photograph weddings for joyful, sentimental couples who want photographs that feel natural, emotional, and honest.
In a world where so much is fleeting, my goal is to create space for you to experience your wedding day as it unfolds and settle into every moment. Through a blend of film and digital photography, I document both the big moments and the smaller ones that often become the most meaningful with time.
I've spent the past five years documenting weddings across the West Coast and beyond, and when I'm not behind the camera, you'll likely find me hiking with my husband and our two dogs, planning my next adventure, or hunting down a great cup of coffee.
My love for photography began with film.
There was something magical about slowing down, carefully composing a frame, and not knowing exactly how it would turn out until the roll was developed. Every photograph felt intentional. Instead of taking hundreds of images, I learned to pay attention to the details, trust my instincts, and appreciate the anticipation that came with waiting to see the final result.
That experience continues to shape the way I photograph weddings today. While my tools have evolved, my approach remains the same. I believe the most meaningful photographs come from being present, observing closely, and documenting moments as they naturally unfold.
"There's SO many good ones, Granny is going to run out of fridge space. Thank you so much! They're magical and we are beyond grateful! There's no way we would have gotten photos like this without you.”
I believe our lives are shaped by the people we share them with, and I love to capture the images that bring you back to these relationships and moments you wish you could relive.
The handwritten letters,
the tears during toasts,
the hugs from lifelong friends,
the way your dad looked at you before the ceremony,
or the joy of having everyone you love in one place.
More than anything, I want my work to preserve the people, relationships, and memories that make your story uniquely yours.
